Two bars in Barcelona made it onto the list of the world’s 50 best bars: Bar Mutis, which for all the hype, appears to be simply the VIP section of Bar Mut, and Dry Martini.
We visited Dry Martini recently and had a couple of gin fizzes. The locale looks like the library of an English country manor, all leather and wood. It also had that hunting lodge feel in that at 7 in the evening the place was full of aging bankers and pretty much no women customers. The barmen know what they’re doing and the vibe is conservative but cozy, if you like that kind of thing.
